Wash Paint Stains with Soap & Water

The most straightforward way to get paint off clothes is the old-fashioned soap and water technique. To start, create a lather with soap and gently rub it on the paint spots. Rinse with cold water until the paint stain disappears. If necessary, repeat the process a few times for more stubborn paint stains.

Apply Nail Polish Remover to Remove Paint Stains

If soap and water doesn't work, try using nail polish remover. Make sure to dab a small amount of nail polish remover to an inconspicuous part of the coat first to make sure it isn't going to damage the material. Then, gently apply the nail polish remover onto the paint stains, being careful to only use a tiny amount. Wipe the area with a damp cloth afterwards.

Launder As Usual Afterwards

Finally, once you've gotten rid of the paint stains, don't forget to throw the coat in the washing machine or take it to the dry cleaner. This will help ensure that all residual leftovers from the paint and removers are properly removed and your coat is good as new.
