Gather Your Materials

Before you start, make sure you have everything you need to clean the paint stain. Here are the items that will come in handy:

  • White vinegar
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Baking soda
  • An old toothbrush
  • Clean cloths

Step 1: Blot the Stain With Vinegar

The first step is to blot the paint stain with white vinegar. This will help loosen the paint from the fabric. To do this, simply pour vinegar onto the stain and let it sit for several minutes. After the time has elapsed, use a clean cloth to blot the stain.

Step 2: Make a Soapy Mixture

Next, mix some liquid dish soap with baking soda and stir to form a paste. The paste should be thick enough that it sticks to your clothes. Spread it over the paint stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Use a Toothbrush to Scrub

Once paste has had time to sink into the fabric, use an old toothbrush to scrub the stain. This will help remove any remaining bits of paint. Be sure to be gentle when scrubbing. If the stain isn’t completely gone after this step, repeat the process until it is.

Step 4: Rinse and Repeat

Finally, rinse area with cold water until the soap is completely gone. If stain is still visible, repeat process until it is removed. Once the stain is gone, use a clean cloth to dry the fabric.
