Step 1: Start by Blotting Up the Paint

The first step in cleaning paint off of Chantilly lace is to take a piece of absorbent cloth, such as an old t-shirt or towel, and blot up as much of the paint as you can. You want to be careful not to rub or scrub your fabric while you're doing this, as that could tear lace.

Step 2: Make a Homemade Stain Remover

After blotting up what you can, you can make a homemade solution to help remove the remaining paint from your Chantilly lace. Simply mix together one tablespoon of liquid dish soap with two cups of warm water. Then, take a soft bristled brush and use it to gently scrub the fabric with the soapy mixture, being careful not to rub too harshly.

Step 3: Rinse Out the Soapy Mixture & Blot Dry

Once you've scrubbed the stained area with your homemade solution, rinse the fabric with cool water to remove any of the soap residue. After it's been rinsed, take a dry towel and gently press down on the fabric to soak up any excess moisture.

Step 4: Air Dry the Fabric

Finally, lay the fabric flat on a clean towel and allow it to air dry. Once it has finished drying, your Chantilly lace should be free from paint stains and looking like new again!
