Step 1: Treat with Glycerin

The first step in removing a paint stain from chambray is to treat it with glycerin. This natural product can help to break down the paint pigment and make it easier to remove. To use, dab a small amount of glycerin directly onto the stain, and let it sit for around 10 minutes. After that, blot away the excess liquid with a clean cloth.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain

Once you’ve treated the stain with glycerin, you can pre-treat the fabric with a laundry detergent. Spray a small amount of detergent directly onto the stain and wait for 15 minutes before rinsing the detergent off with cool water. This will help to break down the paint particles even further and make them easier to remove.

Step 3: Machine Wash the Fabric

Finally, machine wash fabric according to the care instructions on the label. Use the normal cycle and add a gentle detergent to the wash. Once the cycle has finished, check the fabric for any remaining traces of the stain. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 1 through 3 until the stain is gone.

Step 4: Hang the Fabric to Dry

Once the stain has been removed, hang the fabric to dry. For best results, hang fabric indoors, away from direct sunlight. This will help to prevent fading and discoloration.

With these easy steps, you can quickly get rid of paint stains on your chambray fabric. Just remember to always use gentle detergents and be sure to follow the care instructions for your fabric.
