Before you start trying to remove the paint stain, you'll need to pre-treat the fabric with a washable detergent. Let the detergent mix with water and add the stained area of the garment and rub it gently. Let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it out.
Once pre-treating has been completed, you'll want to treat the paint stain with a spot cleaner. Use a cotton swab to apply the cleaner directly to the stain. Gently rub the paint stain until it is no longer visible.
When the stain has been removed, rinse off the spot with cold water. Next, put the garment in washing machine and run a full cycle with a mild detergent. Make sure to follow the instructions for type of detergent you are using so that the color doesn't fade.
Oil-based paint stains can be a nightmare to remove, but with some pre-treating and spot treatment using a washable detergent, you can get rid of those unsightly stains in no time. And with a little bit of luck, your favorite Burberry garment will look as good as new!
