Accidents happen, and there may come a time when you're wearing your bodycon dress and it's stained with paint. Not to worry! Here are easy steps to help you successfully remove paint from your bodycon dress.
As with any stain, the sooner you start working on removing it, the better your chances of success. Don't wait until the next day. As soon as paint stain happens, take action.
Gather supplies such as a clean cloth, a mild detergent, and some warm water. Laundry detergent is usually gentler than dishwashing detergent.
Using a clean cloth, start bloating the stain out. Blot the stain from the outside in, so that it doesn't spread. Avoid rubbing the stain or you may cause it to spread even more.
Mix some detergent in warm water and apply to the stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before blotting it away with a clean cloth.
Keep repeating the previous steps until the stain is fully removed. If the paint stain still won't budge, try using a stronger cleansing agent, like nail polish remover, but be sure to test it on an inconspicuous part of the dress first.
If the stain is gone, launder the dress as usual. Just make sure to follow the laundering instructions on the garment's tag. This step is especially important if using a strong cleaner.
If you know you'll be doing painting or any other activity that may cause paint stains on your bodycon dress, it's best to wear clothing that you're willing to toss out if needed. This way, you won't have to worry about getting paint on your favorite bodycon dress.
