Get Paint Out of Your ASICS with These 6 Easy Steps

Accidents happen, but that doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to your beloved ASICS. Whether you get paint on them while working on a project or playing sports, here is how you can take the mess out without ruining your shoes.

Step 1: Scrape off excess paint

Using a blunt knife or a plastic putty knife, scrape off the excess paint from shoe's surface. Be sure to do this slowly and carefully, so that you don't damage the shoe.

Step 2: Apply a detergent solution

Mix a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid in half a cup of warm water. Dip a soft brush or a clean cloth in the solution and gently scrub the affected area. Do not put too much pressure or use a stiff brush, as it may damage the fabric of your ASICS.

Step 3: Blot the area with warm water

Once you are done scrubbing, use a clean cloth and dip it in warm water. Gently blot area to remove the soap residue. Make sure not to rub area too hard or you might damage fabric of your ASICS.

Step 4: Use nail polish remover

If the stain is still there after following the previous steps, pour some nail polish remover on a clean cloth or cotton wool. Dab the area gently and remember not to rub it. The nail polish remover should help remove the stain.

Step 5: Rinse with lukewarm water

Once the paint is removed, rinse the area with lukewarm water and a clean cloth. Be careful not to rub too hard or you may damage the fabric.

Step 6: Let them air dry

Once you have finished cleaning, leave your ASICS to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. This will help prevent any further staining.
