Method 1: Solvent Cleaning

1. Identify the type of paint and select appropriate solvent. To identify the type of paint on your apron, look at the label on the can of paint you last used. The label should tell you what type of paint you were using: water-based, oil-based, etc. Use this information to select an appropriate solvent for cleaning - acetone for oil-based paints, and water and dish soap for water-based or latex paints.

2. Soak stained area. Use the selected solvent to soak stained area of the apron for an hour. When soaking with water, you can add a few drops of dish soap to create a soapy solution. This will help to break down the stain more effectively.

3. Scrub the stain away. After soaking, use a soft scrub brush to gently scrub the stained area in circular motions for around 5 minutes. This should remove most, if not all, of the stain.

4. Rinse off solvent. Once you've successfully removed all paint stains, rinse off the apron with cool water and leave it to air dry.

Method 2: Stain Remover

1. Select a suitable stain remover. Look for a stain remover specifically designed for removing paint, or one with enzymes that are effective at breaking down oil-based paint stains. It's important to always read the label carefully to ensure you're using the right product for job.

2. Apply the stain remover. Follow the instructions on the label of the stain remover and apply it to the stained area of your apron. Leave stain remover to work its magic for 10-15 minutes.

3. Wash off the stain remover. Using a damp cloth, gently wipe off stain remover. If you can still see some residue, wash apron in the washing machine according to the instructions on the label.

4. Air dry the apron. Allow the apron to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
