Step 1: Choose Right Supplies

To clean up paint spills, you’ll need a few supplies. We recommend gathering a bucket, dishsoap, white vinegar, a sponge, a microfiber cloth or paper towels, a putty knife or razor blade, and latex gloves.

Step 2: Scrape Away Excess Paint

Once you have your materials ready to go, it’s time to start cleaning. The first step is to scrape away any excess paint using a putty knife or razor blade. Once you’ve removed as much of the paint as possible, you can move on to the next step.

Step 3: Apply Soap and Vinegar

Next, fill your bucket with hot water and add a few drops of dish soap. Swirl the mixture with your hand to make sure it’s well-mixed. Then, add a quarter cup of white vinegar and stir to incorporate. Dip your sponge into soapy water and wring it out. Gently rub the stained area with the sponge to remove paint residues. Keep rinsing your sponge as necessary.

Step 4: Wipe Away Any Residue

Once you’ve successfully removed most of the paint, take a microfiber cloth or paper towel and wipe away any remaining residue. You may need to use a light cleaning solution if the paint stain has set in.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

Finally, rinse your sponge and cloth under warm water and dry off the affected area. If paint stain has been stubborn, repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the stain is gone.

Conclusion

With the right supplies and techniques, you can easily remove paint stains from your walls and furnishings. For tough stains, it’s best to call in a professional for help.
