What You Need:
- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Old toothbrush or soft brush
- Silicone stain remover
- Clean cloths
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Make sure the t-shirt is completely dry before you begin removing the oil pastel stain. If it’s still wet, rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
- Mix a solution of equal parts dishwashing liquid and white vinegar in a bowl.
- Gently scrub the stain with an old toothbrush or soft brush dipped in the solution. Work slowly and gently to avoid spreading the stain.
- Rinse the affected area with cold water.
- If the stain remains, apply a silicone stain remover designed for fabrics.
- Using clean cloths, dab the stain with the remover until its gone.
- Rinse the affected area with cold water once again.
Tips:
- Cleaning as soon as possible after staining is key. The longer the stain sits, the more difficult it will be to remove.
- Test any stain remover on an inconspicuous area of the clothing item to make sure it won’t damage the fabric.
- If the stain remains after you’ve tried cleaning it, you may need to re-rinse the garment multiple times. Try repeating the stain removal process.
