The first step to removing oil-pastel stains from your favorite tracksuit is to apply a small amount of mild detergent. Gently rub the detergent into the stain, taking care not to spread it or damage the fabric. Let the detergent work its magic for about five minutes, before wiping off with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Once you’ve wiped away the detergent, lay your tracksuit flat on a clean surface and use lukewarm water to rinse away any excess detergent. After you’ve rinsed the tracksuit, let it air dry - never put it in the dryer!

Another option that works well on oil-pastel stains is to use white vinegar. Dilute one part vinegar in four parts water, then gently dab the affected area with a cloth soaked in the mixture. Let the vinegar sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. Again, be sure to air-dry after rinsing.

Finally, for tougher stains, you can use a commercial stain-removing product. Just be sure to follow the instructions on the product packaging and test a small, inconspicuous area of the tracksuit prior to using the product.

With a little bit of effort and patience, you can successfully remove oil pastel stains from your tracksuit and have it looking like new again.
