Tried and True Tips to Get Oil Pastel Stains Out of Taffeta

What You'll Need

• Dry-cleaning solvent
• Cotton swab
• Dish soap
• Thick cloth

Getting Started

Before you begin, it's important to note that taffeta is a delicate fabric and should be treated with care. Pre-treat the stain by blotting it with a dry-cleaning solvent on a cotton swab. Be sure not to rub fabric as this can cause the stain to spread and set more permanently.

Scrub with Soap and Water

Create a mixture of dish soap and warm water. Dip the thick cloth in the solution and then dab at the stained area. Don't scrub too vigorously as this could damage the fabric.
