Easy Ways to Clean Oil Pastel Stains from Swim Trunks
Oil pastel stains can be a tricky challenge. But if you act quickly and use the right materials, you can remove them from your swim trunks without damaging the fabric.

What You’ll Need
- Mild detergent
- A soft brush
- Vinegar or lemon juice
- A clean cloth
Directions
- Gently brush away any excess oil pastel residue with a soft brush.
- Mix together 1/4 cup of mild detergent and 1/2 cup of vinegar or lemon juice.
- Using a clean cloth, apply pressure and dab affected area with the solution.
- Continue dabbing for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse the garment in cool water.
- Dry with a clean towel.
Tips & Warnings
- Test the solution on a hidden area of the fabric first to make sure it won’t cause any discoloration.
- Be sure to use a gentle detergent and avoid harsh chemicals.
- Do not machine wash the garment after you’ve finished treating the stain.
- Do not place the garment in the dryer.
