Oil pastels are made of pigment and wax, which gives them a great texture for painting and drawing. Unfortunately, this also makes them a challenge to remove from fabric surfaces. But with some persistence and the right cleaning supplies, you can get your sneakers looking like new again.

What You'll Need

  • Dish detergent
  • Warm water
  • Towel or cloth

Instructions

  1. Mix a few drops of dish detergent into the warm water.
  2. Clean stained area with the soapy mixture, taking care to rub gently but firmly. Use a cloth or towel to scrub the area.
  3. Rinse the affected area with warm water.
  4. If the stain remains, repeat steps one through three until the stain is gone.

Once the stain has been removed, allow the shoe to air-dry before wearing it again. Voila – your sneakers should look as good as new!
