First, collect all the supplies you'll need: liquid dish detergent, white vinegar, a toothbrush, and a few clean cloths or paper towels.
Next, use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot up as much of the oil pastel stain as possible. Be sure not to rub it in further!
Once you've blotted away the excess, mix together equal parts liquid dish soap and white vinegar in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and dab the remaining stain with the cloth. Don't rub the mixture into the fabric, just gently dab at it.
Fill a sink or basin with lukewarm water. Add a few drops of liquid dish soap and submerge stained area of the sleep pants in the water. For tougher stains, use a soft-bristled toothbrush to scrub the fabric gently. Let the pants soak for 15-30 minutes before rinsing.
After rinsing, squeeze excess water out of fabric and hang the sleep pants up to dry. Do not put them in the dryer! This can set the stain permanently.
If the stain is still visible after the first cleaning attempt, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is gone.
