How To Easily Get Rid Of Oil Pastel Stains on Your Shorts
Oil pastels are a great way to add color and vibrancy to creative works. Unfortunately, they can also leave behind stains that are difficult to remove. But don’t worry, with the right techniques and materials, you can easily eliminate any oil pastel stains on your shorts.

Materials Needed
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Cotton Swabs
- Dishwashing Soap
- Warm Water
- Cloth or Towel
Steps To Take
- If the stain is still wet, use a cloth or towel to remove as much of the oil pastel as possible.
- Dampen a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and gently dab the stained area until the stain is gone.
- If the stain remains, put a few drops of dishwashing soap onto the stained area and rub it into the fabric.
- Using a cloth or towel, gently scrub the stained area in a circular motion until the stain is lifted.
- Once the stain has been removed, rinse area with warm water.
- Allow shorts to air dry. Do not put them in the dryer as this could set the stain.
Additional Tips
- If stain is stubborn, try using a laundry pre-treatment product before washing.
- Always test any cleaning method on an inconspicuous area of the shorts to make sure it won’t cause damage.
