The supplies you’ll need to get rid of oil pastel stains are simple. Make sure to grab a clean white cloth, laundry detergent, and a brush.
Begin by pre-treating the stain with laundry detergent, or any other spot or pretreatment product that is specifically designed to break down oils and grease. You can also use liquid dish soap and a toothbrush to scrub stained area gently.
Once you’ve pre-treated stain with laundry detergent, you can apply a laundry stain remover specifically designed for oil-based stains. Spray the area generously and allow the product to sit for about five minutes.
After applying the stain remover, rinse your scrub under cold running water. Repeat this process until you no longer see stain.
Once you’ve thoroughly rinsed the stained area, you can launder your scrubs as usual. Set your washing machine to its warmest setting, and add a mild detergent. Then, place the scrubs inside the machine and let it run its course.
When the cycle is finished, let your scrub dry completely. Make sure to check your garment to ensure the stain has been completely removed before putting it away.
With these simple steps, you should now be able to easily remove any oil pastel stains from your scrubs. Just make sure to use these methods as soon as you discover the stain – the sooner, the better.
