What You'll Need

  • Liquid dish soap
  • Water
  • Soft cloths
  • Paper towels

Step 1: Soak

Put the scarf in a large bowl and cover it with cold water. Then, add some liquid dish soap and let the scarf soak for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Gently Rub

Take a soft cloth and gently rub the stained area. Rub in a circular motion and be careful not to rub too hard or the fabric could be damaged. Rinse the cloth regularly to remove any of the oil pastel stain.

Step 3: Rinse and Repeat

Once all the visible stains have been removed, rinse the scarf in cold water. Then repeat the rubbing process if necessary before rinsing again.

Step 4: Wait and Dry

Lay the scarf flat on a clean paper towel and let it air dry for 30 minutes. Once it's completely dry, it should be free from oil pastel stains.
