Before you begin, remove as much of oil pastel as possible by gently scraping away the excess with a spoon or rubber spatula. Do not use a metal scraper or abrasive sponge as this could scratch or damage your cookware.
Once you have removed the bulk of oil pastel, pre-treat the remaining stain with a laundry stain remover. Apply the stain remover directly to the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Then, rinse the pot or pan with warm water.
In a sink filled with warm water, mix a small amount of dish soap with the water. Place your pot or pan in the soapy water and let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Gently scrub the area with a soft sponge or cloth to remove any remaining stains. Rinse with warm water and towel dry.
