But don’t worry; this guide will help you to clean an oil pastel stain on your poncho and bring it back to looking like new. Here’s what to do:

  1. Remove any excess oil pastel from the surface of poncho.
  2. Soak a cloth in cold water, wring it out, and blot the stain until the area is damp but not soaking.
  3. Apply a small amount of mild detergent or stain remover to the damp cloth, and then use that cloth to dab at the stained area.
  4. Rinse the cleaning rag often, as you continue to lightly blot the stain. Use fresh, cold water each time.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the stain begins to lighten.
  6. Once the stain is gone, rinse poncho thoroughly and let dry.

It’s possible that stain may still be present after you’ve completed these steps. If that’s the case, try using a stronger cleaning product, such as rubbing alcohol or ammonia.

Using the right tools, you can get oil pastel stains out of your poncho. With a little patience and effort, you’ll have your poncho looking like new in no time.
