- Remove any excess oil pastel from the surface of poncho.
- Soak a cloth in cold water, wring it out, and blot the stain until the area is damp but not soaking.
- Apply a small amount of mild detergent or stain remover to the damp cloth, and then use that cloth to dab at the stained area.
- Rinse the cleaning rag often, as you continue to lightly blot the stain. Use fresh, cold water each time.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the stain begins to lighten.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse poncho thoroughly and let dry.
It’s possible that stain may still be present after you’ve completed these steps. If that’s the case, try using a stronger cleaning product, such as rubbing alcohol or ammonia.
