What You Need:
- White Toothpaste
- Liquid Detergent
- Soft Cloth
- Iron
Steps for Cleaning:
- Begin by rubbing a small amount of white toothpaste onto stained area. Gently rub it with a soft cloth, adding warm water as you go.
- If the stain isn't completely gone, mix equal amounts of warm water and liquid detergent. Submerge stained area and let soak for 15 minutes.
- Remove the fabric from the water and gently blot the stain with a dry cloth. Be sure to change out your cloth each time it becomes saturated with the soap solution.
- If there is still a stain on the fabric, place another dry cloth over the stain and press an iron on the highest setting, steaming the stained area. Do not leave the iron in one spot for long.
- Once the stain is gone, rinse fabric and hang to dry.
Additional Tips:
- The sooner you are able to treat stain, the better the chances of removing it successfully.
- Be sure not to use hot water on muslin fabric, as this could cause fabric to shrink.
- Do a spot test on an inconspicuous area of the fabric before treating the stain.
