Oil pastel stains are not all that hard to remove from your clothing if you act quickly and use proper cleaning solution. To start, identify the fabric of your midi dress. While this cleaning method is suitable for most fabrics, it's always best to spot test in an inconspicuous area before treating the entire stain.

What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • Towel or cloth
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Mix a tablespoon of dish soap with a cup of lukewarm water.
  2. Using a cloth or towel, dab the stained area with the soapy water.
  3. Rinse the cloth or towel in cold water and continue to dab the stained area until the stain has been removed.
  4. If the stain remains, mix white vinegar and baking soda to create a paste and apply paste to the stained area. Let sit for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
  5. If the stain persists, repeat steps two and three.

With a bit of patience and some common cleaning supplies, you can easily remove oil pastel stains from your favorite midi dress!
