  1. Remove any solid pieces – Start by removing any solid pieces of oil pastel from the grass. Scoop them up with a dustpan or pick them up with an old rag.
  2. Make a cleaning solution – Next, mix together a solution of ½ cup baking soda and 1 tablespoon of dish soap with 2 cups of warm water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Generously spread the solution – Now, generously sprinkle the solution onto the stained area. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  4. Scrub gently – After 15 minutes, scrub stained area gently with an old rag. Be sure to work the solution into the grass as much as possible.
  5. Rinse and repeat – Finally, rinse area thoroughly with a garden hose. If the stain is still there, repeat the process.
