Preparing your Denim Garment for Cleaning

To start, find a sink or basin that you can use and fill it with cold water. Place the stained denim garment in the basin, allowing it to soak for 30 minutes. This will help loosen the stain from the fabric.

Next Steps for Removing Stains

Once your denim has soaked for 30 minutes, remove it from the basin and turn it inside out. Use cool water and a mild laundry detergent to begin removing the stain. Rub the stained area gently for a couple of minutes, then rinse the garment in water. Repeat the steps until the stain is no longer visible.

Drying and Finishing

After you finish treating the stain, hang garment up to dry, then put it through a gentle cycle in your washing machine. After it is dried completely, use a lint roller over the area in case you missed any remaining pieces of oil pastel pigment. Finally, inspect area to make sure stain is fully gone. Now your denim garment is ready to wear again!
