Oil pastel stains are pesky little problems – but with a bit of effort and elbow grease, you can easily make them disappear. Follow the steps below to clean your clogs and make them look as good as new again.

Step 1: Pre-treat the Clog with Stain Remover

First, apply a heavy-duty pre-treatment product. Use some paper towels to rub the product onto the stain, using circular motions. Once the pre-treatment is applied, let it sit for about an hour before moving onto the next step.

Step 2: Launder the Clog

Now it’s time to wash your clog. Place it in a pillow case or lingerie bag before laundering. A mild detergent should work well for this. Additionally, adding some baking soda or white vinegar to the laundry cycle can help to remove tough stains.

Step 3: Air-Dry the Clog

After laundering, air-dry the clog. Avoid tumble drying clog, as this may cause the stain to set in. Hang-drying the clog outside in direct sunlight can help to further remove any remaining stains.

Step 4: Remove Stubborn Stains with Vinegar

If the stain still remains after following previous steps, you can try applying white vinegar directly to the affected area. Let it sit for several minutes, then use a clean cloth to scrub away any remaining oil pastel stain.

Step 5: Enjoy a Stain-Free Clog

And there you have it! Your clog is now back to its original glory - free from pesky oil pastel stains. Show it off to your friends and family and feel proud that you did it yourself!
