Steps to Clean an Oil Pastel Stain from Capris
- Blot the stained area with a damp cloth or paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
- Create a mixture of three parts baking soda to one part warm water and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for fifteen minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Apply liquid detergent (or laundry pre-treatment spray) to the oil stain and let sit for at least ten minutes.
- Wash the capris in the washing machine using the hottest temperature setting recommended on the care label.
- Check the stained area after washing; if the stain is still present, repeat steps 2 through 5.
- Hang capris to dry.
