Using the back of a spoon, scrape off as much of oil pastel stain as you can. This will help to reduce the amount of work you’ll have to do later.
Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water in a bowl. Dip a cloth into the solution and apply it directly to the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before scrubbing the area with a soft bristled brush.
Add a dollop of dish soap and a capful of laundry detergent to a sink filled with warm water. Submerge item and let it soak for approximately 30 minutes. Afterward, rinse the item completely.
Mix together a small amount of baking soda and warm water until it forms a paste. Apply paste directly to the stain and let it sit for several minutes. Scrub area with a soft bristled brush.
Fill another sink with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Submerge the item and let it soak for 10 minutes before rinsing it off. Finally, air dry the item in a shaded area.
