Cleaning Oil Pastel Stains from Briefs

  1. Scrape off as much of the oil pastel as possible with a dull-edged object.
  2. Create a paste with sodium carbonate (washing soda) and warm water. Rub the paste onto the stain using a soft cloth.
  3. Allow the paste to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing the stain with cold water.
  4. Dampen a cloth with a mixture of 1 teaspoon liquid dish detergent and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar in 1 cup of water.
  5. Rub the cloth onto the affected area.
  6. Rinse area with cold water.
  7. To dry, lay the garment flat on a dry towel and press gently with a clean white cloth.
