Step 1: Prep Your Belt

Begin by removing the belt from any clothing or accessories that it is attached to. Once the belt is loose and ready, you will need to prepare it before starting your cleaning process. Lay it out flat and brush away any visible dust and dirt.

Step 2: Use a Clean, Dry Cloth

Next, take a clean, dry cloth and gently dab the stained area. Doing this will help to lift off the excess oil pastel residue, which will make it easier for you to remove the stain. Make sure to avoid rubbing or scrubbing the stained area at all costs - this could spread the stain further, making it even harder to remove.

Step 3: Spot Treat with Detergent

Once you have removed the excess residue, it’s time to spot treat the area with gentle detergent. Take a soft cloth, dip it into the detergent, and dab stained area until it is covered in the cleaning liquid. Allow this to sit for a few minutes before moving to the next step.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Once the detergent has had time to set, rinse off the stained area with cold water. After rinsing, use a dry cloth to pat dry. Be sure to give the belt adequate time to dry before putting it back on.
