What You’ll Need

  • Rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol)
  • Cotton swab
  • Laundry detergent or baby shampoo
  • Soft cloth

Step 1: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Begin by applying rubbing alcohol to the affected area using a cotton swab. The alcohol will help loosen up the oil pastel and make it easier to remove. Make sure not to press too hard with the swab, as this could cause more damage.

Step 2: Rinse with Water

Thoroughly rinse the area with cool water. This will flush away the loosened oil pastel and the rubbing alcohol.

Step 3: Apply Detergent

Apply a small amount of laundry detergent or baby shampoo to a soft cloth and gently rub area in a circular motion until the stain is gone. Again, be careful not to press too hard so you don’t cause any damage.

Step 4: Rinse Again

Rinse the area one more time to flush away any remaining detergent or shampoo.

Step 5: Air Dry

Allow the area to air dry before wearing or using the garment again.
