When you’re working with oil pastels, it can be easy for color to rub off and stain fabrics like aprons. Regular washing may not do the job, making removal of these stubborn stains a challenge. But with the right approach, you can restore your apron in no time.

Steps for Removing Oil Pastel Stains

  1. First, as soon as you notice the stain, treat it with a spot cleaner or pre-wash stain remover.
  2. If the pre-treatment fails to remove oil pastel stain, mix a solution of warm water and dish soap. Apply the solution directly to the stained area and gently scrub it with a soft brush.
  3. If this fails to remove stain, use rubbing alcohol on a cloth or cotton ball and apply it to the stubborn stain until it is removed.
  4. Once stain has been removed, rinse the affected area with cold water and then launder the apron according to instructions.

It may take a few attempts to completely remove the oil pastel stain, but with a bit of patience and right approach, you can restore your apron to its original condition.
