When it comes to removing oil pastel stains from activewear, the situation can often seem dire. These oily substances can quickly set into fabrics like polyester, spandex, and nylon, making them difficult to remove. But don't despair! With some patience and the right products, you can get your activewear back to looking as good as new.

Step 1: Pretreat Stain

Start by pretreating the stain with a laundry pre-treatment product. When applying, be sure to follow the package instructions. Let the product sit for 5-10 minutes to give it time to penetrate the stain.

Step 2: Rinse with Cold Water

Once the pre-treatment product has had a chance to work its magic, rinse the stain with cold water. This will help to flush out any lingering residue.

Step 3: Launder as Usual

Once the stain has been rinsed away, wash the item as usual in either hot or cold water depending on the fabric content. For added protection, use a laundry detergent that contains specific enzymes to help break down greasy stains.

Step 4: Air Dry or Machine Dry

After laundering, allow the item to air dry or machine dry on low heat. Do not apply heat directly to the stain as this could cause it to set in further.

With these easy steps, you can quickly and easily remove oil pastel stains from activewear. The process may take a bit of time and patience, but end result is worth it—clean, fresh activewear free of any unsightly stains.
