Materials Needed to Clean Nail Polish Stains

  • Clean cloths
  • Water
  • Non-acetone nail polish remover
  • Dish soap
  • Hydrogen peroxide

Steps To Remove Nail Polish Stains From Yoga Pants

  1. Put the yoga pants in a bucket or sink full of cold water. Soak the fabric for at least 15 minutes. This helps to loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
  2. Take two clean cloths and dampen one with water and other with nail polish remover. Do not use acetone-based polish remover because it can damage fabric.
  3. Start working on spot where the nail polish is located. Rub the damp cloth with nail polish remover in a circular motion. If the stain does not start to fade, dampen the cloth with more polish remover.
  4. Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with water and then move to the next stained spot on pants. Repeat these steps until all the nail polish stains are removed.
  5. Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap in 2 cups of warm water and stir. Use this solution to rinse off the area where the nail polish was located.
  6. If any remaining stain persists, apply hydrogen peroxide to the affected area with a clean cloth. Leave the hydrogen peroxide on the fabric for 5 minutes before rinsing with soapy water mixture from step 5.
  7. Hang yoga pants up to dry. Do not put them in the dryer because this may set the stain.

Tips for Cleaning Nail Polish Stains from Yoga Pants

  • Always test any cleaning product on a small inconspicuous area of fabric before using it on the entire garment.
  • Don't let the nail polish get dry before starting the stain removal process. The sooner you treat the stain better.
  • If the stain persists, try using rubbing alcohol instead of nail polish remover.
