If you’ve got a stain from nail polish that’s drying on your wallet, the first step is to get some cotton balls and rubbing alcohol, as either 50% or 90% will work. Soak the cotton balls with rubbing alcohol and gently dab the affected area. Keep blotting the area until all of the nail polish has been removed then let it air dry.

Next, if the smell of the rubbing alcohol lingers, try using vinegar. Fill a cup with just enough white vinegar to cover the stained area. Then, take a damp cloth and submerge it in the vinegar. Gently rub the stained area of the wallet with the cloth and keep going until the smell of the rubbing alcohol is gone.

Finally, if spot is still discolored, you can try using baking soda. Create a paste made of two parts baking soda and one part water. Then, apply the paste onto the stain and let it sit for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes is up, wipe away the paste and the discoloration should be gone.

These tactics will help remove nail polish from your wallet and make it look brand new again. But keep in mind, every wallet is different so take precautions when cleaning yours.
