Step 1: Scrape Off as much of the Nail Polish as Possible

The first step is to scrape off any excess nail polish that may be left on the fabric using a butter knife or a spoon. Be careful not to use too much force or you may end up tearing the delicate fabric. Once you are done scraping, put a paper towel or kitchen roll underneath the garment and blot the area with a damp cloth to remove any remaining traces of the polish.

Step 2: Create a Cleaning Solution

For this next step, mix together one cup of cold water and two teaspoons of either dish soap or a gentle laundry detergent. Use a soft brush or a clean cloth to gently rub solution into the stained area in a circular motion. Take care not to damage the fabric of item while scrubbing the stain away.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once you are done scrubbing the solution into the stain, rinse area with clean cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth. You can also hang garment up to air dry if needed.
