Whether you accidentally dropped the bottle or had one too many spills while painting your nails, there are steps you can take to remove nail polish stains from your uniform. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Start by scraping off any excess nail polish on the stained area.
  2. Use a wet cloth to dab the stained area with rubbing alcohol to lift the stain. Do not rub, as this may spread the stain.
  3. Rinse the stained area with cold water to remove any residual alcohol.
  4. Mix a solution of warm water, mild liquid dish soap, and white vinegar. Submerge the stained area in the solution and let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Rinse the stained area with cold water and check to see if stain has been removed.
  6. If the stain is still visible, apply hydrogen peroxide or ammonia directly to affected area. Let it sit for a few minutes then rinse with cold water.
  7. If stain persists, repeat the steps until it is gone.

By following these steps, you should be able to get the nail polish off your uniform with minimal effort. However, while these steps will work with most materials, if you're unsure of the fabric’s composition it's best to take your uniform to a professional dry cleaner.
