Step 1: Blot Out Excess Nail Polish

Start by blotting out the excess nail polish with a paper towel or cotton swab. Don't rub it in, as this will only spread the stain further.

Step 2: Apply Nail Polish Remover

Once you have blotted out the excess nail polish, apply nail polish remover to area using a cotton swab. If you don't have nail polish remover, you can use rubbing alcohol instead. Make sure to dab at the stain rather than rubbing, as this could cause stain to spread.

Step 3: Rinse & Launder

After you've applied the nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol, rinse out the area with cold water. Then, launder the sweater according to its care instructions, making sure to use a mild detergent and check the label for any special instructions.

Step 4: Dry & Check the Results

When the sweater is finished washing, allow it to air-dry. Then, inspect the area to see if you got all the nail polish out. If not, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the stain is removed.
