Step 1: Determine the Material of Your Sunglasses

Before you start, it's important to determine what material your sunglasses are made from. If your sunglasses are plastic or acetate, you'll be able to use rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. However, if your sunglasses are made of glass or metal, you'll need to take extra caution not to damage or scratch them.

Step 2: Apply Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover

If your sunglasses are made of plastic or acetate, you can begin to apply rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to the stained area. Use a cotton swab to blot the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Gently rub in a circular motion with the swab until you start to see the polish come off.

Step 3: Wash With Soap and Water

Once the stain has been removed, rinse sunglasses with a mixture of soap and lukewarm water. Gently rub them with a soft cloth or sponge to remove any leftover residue.

Step 4: Dry Them Off

After you've rinsed off your sunglasses, you'll want to dry them off in order to prevent streaking. Use a clean, lint-free cloth to gently dab them dry.

Step 5: Clean With Glass Cleaner

To give your sunglasses an extra shine, use a glass cleaner on them after they have been wiped dry. Spray a small amount on a lint-free cloth and clean lenses and frame with it. Make sure to go over the lenses a few times to get rid of any smudges or streaks.
