If you've recently spilled nail polish on your skirt, don't panic - there are several steps you can take to remove stain quickly and effectively:

  • Put the skirt in cold water immediately to reduce the risk of the stain setting.
  • Create a cleaning solution by adding a few drops of dishwashing liquid and a spoonful of baking soda to a bowl of cold water.
  • Soak a sponge in the cleaning solution and scrub the affected area in a circular motion.
  • If stain remains, gently rub a small amount of acetone-free nail polish remover onto the spot.
  • Rinse with cold water.
  • Handwash area or put the skirt on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
  • Allow skirt to air dry.

Although it takes a bit of careful effort, you can get rid of nail polish stains from your skirt. Don't forget to always follow the item's care instructions when you're attempting to remove a stain.
