How to Easily Remove Nail Polish Stains from Scarves

What You'll Need:
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Dish soap
- Water
- Cotton balls
Instructions:
- Create a paste with equal parts of baking soda and white vinegar.
- Apply some of the paste directly onto the stain.
- Let the paste sit for 15 minutes, allowing it to break down the nail polish.
- Using a warm, wet cloth, wipe away the paste and nail polish.
- If the stain still remains, apply some dish soap directly to area and gently rub it in.
- Using warm water, rinse away soap and the remaining stain.
- Let the scarf air dry.
Additional Tips
- Treat stain as soon as possible, as the longer it sits on the fabric, the more difficult it will be to remove.
- If the above steps are not enough to remove stain, try using a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Test the rubbing alcohol on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first before applying directly to the stain.
- It is best to hand wash a scarf with nail polish stains rather than run it through a washing machine. This will help to prevent spreading the stain to other items.
