Step 1: Carefully Blot the Stain

The first step in tackling any stain is to use a cotton ball or cloth to gently blot the stain. The goal is to absorb as much of the nail polish as possible before laundering or cleaning the garment. You should be careful not to rub or brush the stain as this will cause it to spread.

Step 2: Use A Specially Formulated Stain Remover

Once you have blotted the stain, you can apply a specially formulated stain remover or spot cleaner. Make sure cleaner is specifically designed for fabrics and colors similar to that of your satin dress. Follow the instructions on the label for application and let the cleaner sit for a few minutes.

Step 3: Wash As Usual

After treating the stain with the cleaner, wash garment as usual, using warm water and either a gentle detergent or a detergent designed for delicate fabrics. If the stain is still visible after wash, repeat steps 1-3, only this time let the cleaner sit for a longer period of time before washing. This will give the cleaner more time to penetrate the fabric and lift stain.
