Whether you’re headed out for a beach day or hitting the streets in your favorite outfit, a sarong is the perfect finishing touch. But if your sarong should meet up with a bottle of spilled nail polish, you might feel like all hope is lost. Don’t worry! Here’s how to safely remove nail polish stains from your sarong.
Before you take any further steps, blot the stain with a paper towel or cotton cloth. This will help remove as much of the excess nail polish as possible. Don’t rub stain, as it can make it spread further.
Once you’ve blotted away the excess nail polish, it’s time to apply some nail polish remover. Make sure you use a non-acetone-based remover, as acetone can damage fabrics. Dab a small amount of the remover onto affected area with a damp cloth.
Next, rinse area with cold water. You can then launder the sarong as you normally would, using a mild laundry detergent and the appropriate cycle for fabric.
Check the stain before drying your sarong. If it’s still visible, you may have to repeat these steps. As soon as the stain is completely gone, allow your sarong to air dry.
Nail polish stains don’t have to mean goodbye to your favorite sarong. By following these simple steps, you can restore its look and keep on wearing it with confidence.
