Removing Nail Polish from Synthetic Fabrics

If your pajamas are made from synthetic fabrics such as polyester, you can use nail polish remover on the stain. First, gently dab away any excess polish with a paper towel. Then, soak a cotton swab in acetone-free remover and carefully rub the stain until it's no longer visible. When finished, rinse the area with cold water and let air dry.

Removing Nail Polish from Natural Fibers

For natural fibers such as cotton or wool, it's best to use a detergent such as laundry soap. You'll need to mix ¼ teaspoon of detergent with one cup of warm water and stir until combined. Gently dab the stained area with mixture (avoid rubbing) and then rinse with cold water. Repeat this process until stain has disappeared. Afterward, launder your pajamas as usual.

Additional Tips for Cleaning Nail Polish Stains

  • Try to get to the stain as soon as possible to minimize damage.
  • Always remember to test the cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area.
  • If the stain remains, try using a stain-removal product or bring your pajamas to a professional cleaner.
