Marcella is a durable fabric that makes it ideal for bedding and upholstery, but unfortunately it’s not immune to nail polish spills. It’s important to take quick action as soon as you realize there’s been an accident to prevent the stain from setting in. Here are the steps you’ll need to take to clean nail polish stains from Marcella.

  1. Mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water.
  2. Apply the solution directly to stain using a sponge or soft cloth.
  3. Gently rub in circles, starting from the outside of the stain and working inwards.
  4. Repeat until stain has been completely removed.
  5. Rinse the area with cold water, then blot with a clean cloth to remove any excess moisture.
  6. Allow area to air dry completely.

If the stain is still visible after cleaning, you may want to consider spot-cleaning the area more vigorously with a homemade solution. To make this solution, mix one teaspoon of white vinegar with one cup of warm water. Apply the solution directly to the stain and allow it to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

For tougher stains, use a special commercial spot remover designed to clean oil-based stains. Apply the spot remover to the stain following the instructions provided by manufacturer, then rinse with cold water. Be sure to read the label carefully and test spot remover in an inconspicuous area before applying it directly to the stain.

By following these steps, you can easily have your Marcella looking as good as new!
