Whether you're an enthusiastic nail painter or have kids who love painting their nails, you know that some of those pretty polishes can be tricky to remove once they've been smudged on clothing. Thankfully, it's actually quite easy to remove a nail polish stain from a jersey.

The key to this simple cleaning hack is to use a combination of rubbing alcohol and dish soap. Here's what you do:

  1. Mix two parts rubbing alcohol with one part greasy dish soap in a bowl.
  2. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and apply to stained area.
  3. Gently rub the mixture into the fabric until the stain starts to disappear.
  4. Rinse area with cold water.
  5. Pat dry with a clean, soft cloth.

If the stain didn't disappear completely, simply repeat the process. Eventually, the nail polish will lift out of the jersey and you'll have your favorite piece of clothing looking as good as new!
