Things You'll Need

  • White towels
  • Nail polish remover
  • Sponge
  • Detergent
  • Laundry soap

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Lay a white towel beneath the fabric to prevent stain from spreading.
  2. Dab a cotton ball in nail polish remover and apply it onto the stained area of the fabric.
  3. Gently scrub stained area with a sponge, working it into fabric in circular motions.
  4. Once stain has been removed, rinse the fabric with warm water and let it air dry overnight.
  5. If stain remains, mix a small amount of detergent and water in a bowl and soak the fabric for 30 minutes before washing it in cold water with laundry soap.
  6. Leave jacket hung up to dry for at least 24 hours.

Tips and Warnings

  • Tip: Work quickly, as nail polish will dry sooner than expected and make it more difficult to remove the stain.
  • Warning: Test the nail polish remover on a small, inconspicuous area of fabric to check for any discoloration or damage.
  • Warning: Do not use bleach or hot water as it may weaken the fabric and cause further damage.
