Steps to Cleaning Nail Polish Stains from Hair Ties
- First, rinse the stained area with cold water. This will help to wash away any excess nail polish.
- Next, mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl.
- Soak hair tie in the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
- After soaking, scrub away the stain with a clean cloth.
- If the stain persists, soak your hair tie in a bowl of rubbing alcohol for 1 hour.
- Rinse the hair tie with cold water, and repeat steps 3-5 until the stain is removed.
- Finally, air dry or lay flat on a towel.
Additional Tips
- Make sure to avoid using hot water when cleaning nail polish stains. Hot water can set the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
- It may take several attempts before the stain has been completely removed.
- For hard-to-remove stains, try using nail polish remover or acetone to help remove the polish.
