The first step in removing the nail polish stain is to soak the glove in a warm-water and laundry detergent solution. Allow the glove to sit in the solution for at least 30 minutes so that the stain has time to lift up. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can use a soft brush to gently scrub the area.
After the glove has been soaked, take a cotton swab and dip it into a nail polish remover with acetone. Dab the swab onto stain, making sure not to saturate the fabric. Let the remover sit on the stain for a few minutes before moving onto the next step.
Once nail polish remover has been applied, submerge glove in the warm water and laundry detergent solution for another 20-30 minutes. Then, take a white cloth and rinse the glove in cold water, making sure to get rid of all traces of the remover.
Finally, leave the glove to air dry and inspect the area to make sure that the stain has been completely removed. If stain persists, repeat the steps until it has been completely lifted.
Removing nail polish stains from gloves may seem like a challenging task, but with right steps and materials, it can be done quickly and easily. Just remember to always use a nail polish remover with acetone to avoid damaging the fabric.
