The good news is that removing nail polish from earplugs isn’t too complicated. Here are the tools and steps you will need to do so:

  • Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover
  • Cotton swabs
  • Soft-bristled toothbrush
  • Dish soap and warm water

Step 1: Apply Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover

Start by applying rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to a cotton swab. Avoid soaking earplug as this may damage it. Gently rub the swab over the stained area until the stain is gone.

Step 2: Use a Soft-bristled Toothbrush

If the stain still remains, dip a soft-bristled toothbrush in some rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover and lightly scrub the stained area. You may need to repeat this step a few times until the stain is gone.

Step 3: Wash with Dish Soap and Water

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the earplug with warm water and dish soap. Make sure to rinse away all of residue from the rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.

Step 4: Pat Dry and Enjoy!

Finally, pat dry your earplug with a towel and enjoy your clean earplugs!
