What You Need

  • Paper towels
  • Nail polish remover
  • Stain remover/detergent
  • Toothbrush
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using paper towels, blot stained area. Gently apply pressure and take care not to further spread nail polish stain.

Step 2: Apply Nail Polish Remover

Pour some nail polish remover into a clean cloth or cotton ball and gently dab onto the stain. Avoid rubbing the stain otherwise it will get worse. Leave for about 10 minutes to let remover soak in.

Step 3: Brush off the Stain

Take a toothbrush and start scrubbing in circular motions. This will help remove any excess nail polish from the fabric. Be careful not to damage the fabric.

Step 4: Rinse and Wash

Rinse the area with cold water and then use laundry detergent to hand wash the area. Rinse again and repeat if needed.
